Nominated Candidates for the Netball Uganda Executive
The Normalization Committee informs all registered Delegates from the provisional Super League Clubs, the provisional District Associations, the provisional Special Interest Groups and the entire Netball Fraternity in Uganda that the High Court of Uganda has on this 24th day of October 2024, dismissed with costs, Miscellaneous Application No. 991 of 2024 (arising from Civil Suit No. 414 of 2024) filed by a one Ronald MUDHASI against the Normalization Committee because -
1). The Applicant (Ronald MUDHASI) lacked locus standi to present the Application, as he did not have a substantial and personal right that would be affected by the actions of the Normalization Committee complained of; and
2). The Applicant failed to satisfy any of the criteria for the grant of a temporary injunction to stop the elective Assembly of Netball Uganda slated for Saturday, 26 October 2024 at Copper Chimney Restaurant, Lugogo.
Following the said Court Ruling, the Normalization Committee wishes to confirm the following duly nominated Candidates: -
1. President: UCANDA K. Jocelyn - NIC (Kampala)
2. 1st Vice President (Admin): BWAMBALE William - KBK (Kampala)
3. 2nd Vice President (Tech): MUHUMUZA Richard - WOB Men (Kampala)
4. Hon. Secretary: MANDE Aminah - International Men (Kampala)
5. Hon. Treasurer: KAMULEGEYA Yusuf - UGX Luweero (Luweero)

-a) Buganda: MUWONGE N. Sarah - Kampala Univ. (Kampala)
-b) Eastern: ALWENYI Alice - Busia Greater Lions (Busia)
-c) Kampala: SSENGABI Yahaya - Red Stars Men's (Kampala)
-d) Kitara: SSENTAMU B. Rajab - Nexas (Hoima)
-e) Northern: ZUNIGA W. Gutu - Police (Kampala)
-f) North-Eastern: OMUGEN John Bosco -Kumi Municipal Kings (Kumi)

Note: KABACWA Hannifer expressed interest in being Regional Representative for Kitara but did not submit a commissioned Code of Conduct and did not pay Nomination Fees as prescribed by the Elections Guidelines. As such, she was disqualified.
The Electoral Roadmap was affected by the filing of the said Suit and Application, and as a consequence, the Normalization Committee suspended the timelines pending the Ruling of the High Court.
The Electoral Roll, even overtaken by events considering that there is a single nominated candidate for each elective position, is available at the Uganda Olympic Committee/Commonwealth Games of Uganda Offices, for inspection.
Elections for the Athletes’ Committee will be handled after the elective Assembly on a date to be announced by the Normalization Committee.
